Summer is almost gone

With my princess

August 19   '13

So I decided to be a minimalist! Less is the new More! Enough shopping for my little girl although I absolutely love shopping and getting cute little clothes for her! I am officially back to school (Part time) Still I am so excited!! So for me it's time to buckle down and focus! On my education and my baby girl of course. So with my being a minimalist goal I am going to de-cluttered my closet my "study room" that is serving as storage room now, no more shopping for my darling (we already got plenty of clothes for the fall and winter) No more ANY kind of shopping for that matter and no more hoarding "stuff" lol. Hopefully i keep up with my goals!
What are your short term goals?

Sweet Summer Time

August 8 '13

So I came to a conclusion that I a terrible blogger!!! I mean my last post says April... Well I guess I am just a busy little bee and have a hard time finding a minute (or an hour) to get on the computer and to work on my blog.
This summer has been absolutely beautiful! Not too hot not too cold, just perfect! And I am trying to enjoy every single bit of it by taking trips out of town, going to local Farmer's Market, taking lots of walks with my little girl, taking bike rides with my sister, etc. Because before you know it it's going to  be snowing again... :(
What are some of the things you guys are doing to enjoy your summer?

Spring at last!

April 13   2013

It has been a longggggg longgggg longgggg winter. And I can finally say that the Spring has finally come to central New York. It's amazing how when you live in NY 50 degrees almost feels like summer. Although the weather outside is gloomy I am very glad to see all the snow has melted! It's about time Miss Spring!! Last week we had a snowstorm! Not a terrible one, but bad enough to make New Yorkers complain and wish we were liveing somewheres South... Life has been hectic, and a bit stressful for me. But there are still plenty of reasons to smile and enjoy that wonderful thing called Life!

Reasons to smile

  • Life is beautiful... Im sure you have heard it before but it is! And if you think about it, life is so short! So enjoy every moment. Think of the people that have horrible desiases, people that are suffering in other coutries, people that are completly alone and have nobody that cares for them...

  • Spring is here! That means warm sunny days are coming back to NY at last :)

  • My baby girl is getting so big! It's so interesting to watch her play and interact with other babies/kids! I love it!

  • Going to start gardenning soon, Im pretty excited!

  • I'm very close to paying off my credit card! Yay!

  • There's an Italian Patry in the cupbord that I am about to go and enjoy along with my afternoon cup of coffee

My treasure!

Still Winter...

Feb 16   '13

Life has been on the bit of a negative wave here... You know one of those days that you just feel like no one understands what exactly you are going through. What's been hurting/bothering you. Or one of those days when everything seems to be going wrong. I am usually very happy/optimistic person. But I don't even know if it's the winter blues getting to me, or the 4 degree cold weather or the fact that I'm starting to despise my job (because it takes away Soooooo much of my time that I could be spending with my sweetest most precious child, Zoe!). You try to think positive, try to reason with yourself and find excuses, answers, reasons, glimpse of hope within yourself. But truth of the matter is we can't ALWAYS find the answers... We can't always fix the situation... Sometimes life throws curve balls for a reason and we may not see the reasons years or decades later. Until then I'm gonna try not too think too much about the sad/not-so-pleasant things. And once again I'll just count my blessings...

1. My sister just gave birth to a lovely baby boy. He is so sweet and precious! I love being an aunt!

2. Zoe is crawling (or more less jumping lol) She also learned how to clap thanks to my mom! and its the cutest thing ever watching her do that and get so excited.

3. There is only 28 days until SPRING! Yay

4. My Hair is growing fast! It's down to my shoulders.

Well I sure am hoping your day/week is going better than mines! Happy Tuesday (that's for tomorrow lol)

Go away winter!

Monday...

Please remind me again, Whyyyyy do I live in Central New York..?! Lol
The weather has been pretty awful here last couple weeks. Well more like last 3 months... Blah... We also have had a few beautiful cold but sunny afternoons which I'm grateful for! Perfect weather for big cozy sweaters, warm fuzzy slippers and some tea/hot cocoa with a book... Ah I wish! I feel like being a mom your work never stops there's always laundry do be washed, clothes to be put away, baby bottles to be washed. And I know it is very important to find that little bit of "me time". But it's so hard at times. Well today actually was one of my "me time" days. Minus work of course. Baking/cooking are few of my favorite hobbies! Which I was able to do! Spending some time with my girlfriend baking together. I have to give her all the credit for the yummy cookies! The came out delic!
Well I hope you find some "me time" and enjoy doing/making whatever you love the most!!

Take It Easy

Take It Easy

So yesterday I had a very long and frustrating day!! So glad that it's over. Among the many things that went wrong yesterday I wrote a post about my "bad day" and how hectic and or stressful my life is at times. It was quite a large post. I put it together with my pictures. As I was reading it over and checking my spelling I guess I pressed some button or something... I don't even know what the heck happened, but somehow my post disappeared. Everything got deleted somehow!! I was like "ok this is it I am over you Sunday, GO AWAY!" lol. Needless to say I did not retype the post... I decided instead of a negative whinny one I should post something positive! Like encouraging people not to stress out...
Reason number one it is bad for your health! Seriously! Stress can cause frequent insomnia, headaches. Or some serious diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, or obesity. Yeah... Not so good. And we always think, no biggie... It wont affect me... But you just never know! Here are my coping skills with stress if you will.

1. If I feel a overwhelmed/upset I go to the gym, (If i have time to go to the gym that day lol) get up on the treadmill and run until I get tired. Which is usually 2 miles.

2. A cup of tea and twenty minutes of just "ME TIME".  "Me time" is your time to do anything you wish that you know for sure will relax your mind. Be it starring out the window, watching the snow fall, or just read a few chapters of some encouraging read. (Bible is a good one; Psalms :)

3. Taking a walk. Works for me every time! Just to get out of the house see the nature and reflect. Or think of absolutely nothing at all!

4. Being that I absolutely love nature and especially painting it... Painting/drawing. Wish I would find more time, and do it more than just once/twice a year...

5. Listening to my fave music winding down play list  (Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, also Christian and Classical music)

What are your stress coping strategies? What are the things that get you in a better mood? I'd love to know! Happy Monday everyone! Well it's almost Monday... Few hours C'mon!

So thanks to stomach bug I lost another 5 pounds! lol Thanks stomach bug now my sister is really gonna think I'm anorexic... Nausea, vomiting, "the runs", fever of 101.6, dizziness... Yeah I think I am sick. (A lot of time I like to be in denial and say I'm doing just fine there's nothing wrong, just feel little off... But gotta admit it this time). Today I'm feeling much better. Still a bit dizzy but nothing nearly as bad as i felt last few days. I guess its going around. Here are some tips on how to prevent or "try to prevent" getting a stomach bug or flu.

1. WASH YOUR HANDS!!!!!!
(didn't work for me obviously I wash my hands ALL the time! I mean my hands are soooo dry from constant use of soap... sigh..)

2. Don't come in contact with sick people. (like me)

3. Drink plenty of fluids! About 8oz glasses a day. (organic grape juice to prevent stomach bug)

4.  Clean with bleach.

5. Eat healthy! Lots of fruit and vegetables.

And if its too late for you ad you are wither sick with a cold or be it the stomach bug or the flu.. Here are some comforting things you could try to make you feel a bit better.. :-)
Happy Superbowl weekend to everyone!

(This one is a peppermint bag. Could be used as warm or ice pack.
I got it for Christmas from a friend, and I love it! You can also put
